James’s professional experience extends beyond teaching and school leadership.

He has worked as an Independent Schools Inspectorate Team Inspector since 2017, providing him with an informed understanding of the standards, leadership, pastoral care and educational cultures that underpin effective independent schools.

He is also a school governor at St George’s School Ascot. This governance experience gives him a strategic perspective on school leadership, educational priorities and the responsibilities involved in creating an environment where pupils can flourish.
